just a heads up I pre-ordered the AC version yesterday on Smyths, received a confirmation and then an hour and a half later received a cancellation notice. I managed to order again so fingers crossed this one doesn't get cancelled but I'm not holding out much hope

This really does seem to good to be true. I found a webpage listing it as a scam site, and they're selling some items (including the ACNH switch) for way less than RRP. Be careful!

On a different discussion, a guy canceled his order for the AC edition and another user could see it back in stock on the website in minutes, so if you are still looking to cancel I would love to try and organize something if you'd consider it.

Anyone that Is still looking to preorder a switch, please don’t give up. I managed to preorder mine at 10:57 by pure chance. I was not signed in, did not have my details on hand and ended up checking out as a guest since I was quite panicked. I’m 100% sure that stock is coming back onto shelves soon and I’m sure you will be able to get you hands on some! Just keep trying and don’t feel too disheartened ❤️❤️

If you have a laptop with chrome install the super auto refresher instalment for chrome. Then go to the smyths page for whichever console you want and set it to auto refresh. Then I’m afraid it reall is a waiting game. When pre orders are available and green button will show up saying pre order. Honestly I can’t really give much more advice since I managed to stumble across a pre order by sheer luck...

From what I can tell of their website, the Grey version of the console will not be stocked again until between the 8th and 12th of May. This is, however, an estimated restock date by Smyths.

They had some briefly on pre-order yesterday for those dates - they are popping up occasionally for like 15-30mins at a time so worth keeping an eye on.

I have managed to get a one into my basket, if I keep checking out will it go through once a one becomes available? keeps saying sorry none in stock... any advice would be appreciated

I had one in my basket too but there is no way of knowing when it will be back in stock (even if you refresh the page) as the basket page doesn't show that. You'll have to keep clicking on the check out button which will probably waste a lot of time? I have personally removed it from my basket as the button on the page to buy the switch goes green when its in stock.

I got mine my leaving it in the basket and waiting for it to come back one stock. If you refresh that page you will be able to tell by whether there is a red Cross next to the delivery option or not

Keep trying, it is possible, try and have all your details already saved and make sure you know what to type and click when the pre-order goes green so you save as much time as you can.

Managed to get the pre-order! my advice is to have everything set up beforehand - account / cr*dit card details / address etc. i had the page bookmarked and just visited the website whenever i remembered to and just got lucky. One time I lost the neon&red after about 30 seconds, then the second time managed to get through with the grey all in about a minute. Hope everyone manages to get one!

Keep watch on the site. Make an account, setup ur account in advance and keep refreshing. I ordered on 23rd by luck, just happen to go on the site at around 1pm and boom it was right there pre order button. All the switch were available from 1 to 3. Managed to get another one that is AC edition for my sister. Good luck!

Ive seen they've gone up twice today, I was on smyths before it popped up and kept refreshing as stock informer said pre-order but never saw it state pre-order ☹️

Probably not for a while. Even when everyone’s back in work/school, people will still be trying to get one cause they wouldn’t have been able to previously. Then by the time this all ends to try and get back to normal we could be heading into autumn/winter so Christmas stock will fly off the shelves again.

Usually once between 9am and 10am, once between 11:30am and 1:30pm and a bunch of times between 5pm and 8pm and once a bit later at night. These times are just from me checking the stock for two weeks ish so don't completely trust me

That’s shocking - I’m so sorry this happened to you. Hopefully more will be released today. I would imagine if Smyths are getting some in 1-5th May as it says on the website, then other retailer will surely receive some too. Wishing you better luck next time.

ah noo, that is very frustrating. based on this thread I am assuming you went for the grey one? It seems that a lot of the cancelled ones are AC and greys, not many people with Neon said it if I got it right from the comments on both threads... makes me wonder if there's something to do with the stock for those two. Don't give you though! People are managing from other places and so far we've got one success case with the Neon that ordered from last week. It is possible and I'll be rooting for us!

Yeah it was a grey one, it’s true that it seems to be mostly grey and AC ones. Maybe they’re more in demand. Thank you!! Definitely trying to stay hopeful 🤞
