I’m going to leave my smyths preorder in place until the amazon one is despatched....knowing my luck I’ll end up with 3 all being despatched on the same day with no way to cancel just as the market is flooded and they lose all their resale value 🤣 🤣

Amazon said that they will send an email with the expected date before dispatching. I'm hoping it's true and it'll be fine so we cal all make a decision on which one is worth doing.

I've actually decided to keep both and basically see which is confirmed first - I have more trust that Amazon will deliver but what if their delivery date isn't for another 2+ months, and Smyth's date for next week pulls through? I also wonder if Nintendo is giving dates to Amazon for expected stock and they're just acting on that?

There's no dispatch date yet and it's still available. I also find it strange that they are taking the money, so they might just be assuming on future restocks and just need some cash flow for the time being. Really hoping it isn't the case!

Just a heads up- smyths website has been updated for neon switch- now showing home delivery and click and collect option which wasn't there before. I think this is a good sign and stock will be available tomorrow.

For everyone who still can't get one from smyths (I couldn't either) but GAME have bundles with two games going for £389. I know it is about £20 ish more than what you'd pay for a switch and two games but I'd say it's worth it as you get it all in two days delivery + two games arriving at the same time. Just a shout

Thanks for the heads up about Game! I’ve purchased a neon with 2 games and cancelled my smyths pre order. It was a lot more money but when you consider the price of games being around £45ish each it’s worth the bundle.

It's not worth it if you just want to play new horizons. Only get it if you definitely want to play the two games in the bundle. otherwise you'll be wasting about £100

true, marketing strategies; if they sold the switch alone then they'd be making less profit, they're charging £20 extra for the how much the switch and two games would cost if you bought them separately, they're making bankkk

If people didn't see - people who pre-ordered a neon switch from smyths have had their money taken & it looks like the neon also went onto general sale for a bit before selling out. this basically says that the expected restock date is correct because the neon's is meant to be tomorrow. so maybe we shouldn't lose faith!

The neon one got restocked this afternoon around 3-3.30pm. I don't know if Smyths is known for midnight restock. On the website it said that they were expecting Grey stock a week after neon so probably will be next week. They've already done the preorders for grey with the neon/AC last week but there will be limited stock closer to the stock date, like what happened with the neon today.

Most of it is for preorder but there will be limited stock available. By the looks of it, it was available to buy this afternoon. But it might be available for a limited amount tomorrow too. There’s no telling. But next week, the grey should reopen again, a day or two before the 8th

Ok I've now cancelled my Smyths preorder and my Amazon preorder cos Amazon UK have the neon in stock and it's arriving Monday. If you guys aren't fussed by colour I'd recommend that!

Pre Ordered with Smyths on 23rd April & they havent cancelled my Pre Order on me like they have others. With them due in stock between 8th - 12th do you think im definitely guaranteed one? They were on the ball with the Neon Ones last week so lets hope they start shipping them out on Friday!

It was the grey, even though it stated they are 'expected stock between 8th and 12th May' I would keep the page open and keep refreshing, I have all the tabs opened and keep refreshing

That happened to me. It was in and out of my basket about 10 times before i could pay. If you get one in your basket, keep pressing checkout until you can get through to delivery preferences and payment confirmation

I really urge people to get the auto-refresh if you use chrome browser, it refreshes the page for you, i set mine for every 5 seconds. you can download it on chrome

links13 if you checked out as a guest, do a google search for “smyths manage pre order” and you can enter your email address and confirmation number to amend your order. I know you can change card number but I’m not 100% about address, I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to

Thanks saltj, I ordered through my account though so when I check my order progress there's no option to change the address. I contacted them through their website but I'm not hopeful for a reply. But its okay at least I have the order (for now)
