I managed to buy a Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing New Horizons Edition on the 22nd of June and got through the purchase process. On my account, I saw that the item was awaiting stock, due for delivery on the 25th. However, when my e-mail confirmation came it was listed as unavailable with no further details on what was going to happen next. I waited until next day and got nothing, so I decided to contact Very on Facebook on Tuesday asking about my order. On Wednesday I got an automated aftersales e-mail from Very telling me that "now I got my hands on a new Nintendo Switch" they had some additional things that would make my experience even better. However, I still didn't have a Switch and still didn't have any news on my order. Later that same day, the AC Switch showed up as in stock for a few minutes on Very******, so I was hopeful that my order was going to be fulfilled. Today I received a generic but friendly Facebook message from Very where they apologised and said I would either receive a dispatch notification if it was in stock, or a refund. Checking my Very account again, it still showed exactly the same: nothing. I then checked the transaction history and noticed a refund was issued on the 23rd, which was a day before the item was in stock again. I'm fully aware that a big part of the problem has nothing to do with Very but with the ridiculous high demand and low availability of the Switch, but the way Very handled my order made me very disappointed. Based on this experience, I'd say the poor reviews on sites like Trust Pilot seem to be deserved. I still refuse to pay more than the RRP for this edition, so I don't think I will end up with one. However, I thought I'd share this experience with those still hunting for one here on Stock Informer.

Nintendo have noted that they aren't producing any more new units of this console. They've been telling people who enquire about restocks from the Nintendo site about this for over a month now. Everything becoming available now is likely to just be returns.

I ordered my switch on the 12th for local collect at a post office, and it still says ‘despatched’ when I check to track my order. It’s been nearly 3 weeks since I ordered it, I’m getting worried that I’ve paid money for something that I may never receive, as everyone else on here seems to get theirs much earlier than I have. Has anyone else had to wait this long too, and if so, how long was it until it was delivered?

I spent over a month trying to hunt down a Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing Edition and had no luck but then I found one within just one week of signing up for Stock Informer!!! It honestly feels like magic that I'm finally holding one in my hands. Just received my AC New Horizons Switch this morning. Ordered on 19th May through very so very happy with the quick service, especially with all the delays currently going on. I was initially hesitant ordering through very after hearing about the bad experiences others have had with them and it was my first time using them. But I can safely say I wasn't disappointed and I'm glad I went with my gut. Thank you so much stock informer, if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't of known when I would be getting hold of a switch during such high demand. I wish all the others still looking all the best, and that there is still hope out there 🙂

Smyths did the same thing with me and I managed to get hold of one from JL instead. Their systems are just not real-time so they sell more stock than they have and then refund those they can't allocate. It's stupid!

You can go to your account to see the transaction history section whether the NS and delivery cost are refunded.

It only states the payment for the switch and delivery, no cancelled payments and doesn't say its refunded. The money is also showing on my banking statement as pending to be taken from my account. What do you think? Reckon I've managed to get hold of one? I've noticed a few people on this thread have said they've already received cancellation emails but I've not got one of those either.

I received the email right after the order was placed but it showed "We are sorry but your item is no longer available." in the delivery date section and the price showed £0.00. Plus, in my transaction history, the console and the post cost are shown refunded. I think my order has been cancelled.

What time did you place your orders? Just want to be reassured that I'm going to at least get my money back if it doesn't go through after seeing all the bad reviews. I think they have a had quite a few restocked. I ordered the mario delux cart one with the switch yesterday and it took 20mins before they ran out of stock. Mine has been dispatched today and it looks like most people who ordered yesterday got their orders dispatched as well. Goodluck l believe you will get one.

Did you get your refund? There is a system error happened when I was paying, my payment was interrupted and not completed. Now my card was charged but I can't see the order. I called the customer service, it said that my fund would automatically back to my card in 24 hours. Blimey, I'm just so angry. 😭

There's drop down options if you want 2 or 3 years warranty on the page where you add it to your basket, I'm not sure if that's the same thing as manufacturer's guarantee but I hope this helps Smile

Did you just opened a Very account? I think Very does a security check when you first open an account (even if you are planning to pay by your own cr*dit/debit card rather their cr*dit account). Apparently it can take 24-48hrs to past security check. I would advise giving them a call and they usually accelerate the security process.

the first one went through and was confirmed 15:35 the second one with the added bits was confirmed at 15:43 and next to the switch is saysWe are sorry but your item is no longer available. - The amount that you have available to spend on your account will be updated overnight. on the email. the account online shows £0.00 next to the second switch. the first has a price and a delivery date. thankfully i checked my emails before cancelling the first one (i only want one i was just wanting to add the protection and a case)
