Hey guys, I have an update. 2/3 of my orders may actually go through, apparently: ''Having checked your account I can confirm that the amount of £319.99 was refunded back to your card on the 26/03/2020, therefore please check with the card issuer which you originally made the payment from. If the refund is not showing we require a copy of your statement showing the original payment being taken and also a copy of your statement covering 26/03/2020. Once we have received the relevant information then we can investigate further. As per Order Ids [X] and [X], I can see that these items are still on process we'll need to allow longer for this to sent to you.'' Anyone in the same boat?

I would go to your card provider if I were you. They know they haven’t refunded the postage because everyone is in the same boat. You card company should be able to chase this. I wouldn’t trust any info with this company. Seems like they’re stalling. They don’t need that info.

They said they'll refund the delivery charge in 14 days that's not the problem. I made 3 orders for 3 switches and they've basically said that 2 of them may still be coming, that's what I'm trying to say :/ hmm

Just an update. I requested my refund on the 26th when my order got cancelled. They didn't automatically issue the delivery charge but I got that sorted in the same phone call. I got my switch refund on the 27th but my delivery charge was only refunded yesterday (4 days after the first refund and only because I requested it)

I completed the online contact form yesterday about the missing delivery fee and received an email today stating they have passed it on to the relevant department to refund me and that it can take up to 14 days to appear in my bank account.

You should get a refund automatically but it usually won't include delivery. You have to ring them to do this but currently no way to ring. Might have success with email but doubt it

The money was pending from my account at first then yesterday the pending had completely disappeared and no money seemed to have been taken. Then today the money was taken from my account. Tried to call them but it says their lines are busy and to try again later. Tried to contact them on facebook and by email and it says they aren't able to take my messages at the moment due to safeguarding measures. Considering contacting my bank for fraud. I may try ring them again later.

This has similarly happened to me. I have messaged them on twitter and awaiting a response. I contacted my bank and they said to wait until it clears and then they can sort it out... it's super unfair and as a business they now seem very untrustworthy.

Hey, so similar to everyone else below - I got conned for this and spend 25mins in the queue to speak to them yesterday. Initially, they tried to claim that the money hadn't been taken, but they went to 'investigate' and found that I had indeed been charged, but assured me I would receive the refund INCLUDING the delivery fee in 3-5days. I have just received the refund now, but it is without the delivery fee. Please let us all know if anyone has had any success with getting the delivery fee back as well by ringing up and complaining!

Finally got through, they said we can see we owe you £5.99 and said it should be refunded into my account within 3 days. Why you have to ring up and request that I do not know but it is worth ringing up

Has anyone checked their Studio accounts? When I spoke to them yesterday they mentioned something about it being added as cr*dit for the website but I asked them to refund it instead. They haven't added it to my account either, but it could be they are cr*diting peoples accounts instead? worth a check! Not that any of us would ever shop there again though!!

Hi! So I brought the A/C Switch like everybody else. Out of stock. Good news is I got my refund today, so don't worry about not getting the refund, but it was only for £319 when we paid £325 so missing the delivery fee. This is apparently a thing! I am loathed to call them up however as people have said they have been on hold for 30 mins+ which is nearly £4 which is almost defeating the point of getting the £5.99 fee back if I give them money on the call? I have put in a complaint on the trading standards website from the link in this thread and currently am unsure what to do next? I don't mind if I lose the £5.99 fee at the moment, but would just like them to be punished/shut down if this is their deal. I also don't mind waiting until this pandemic is over to them email over a complaint etc as the only way to contact them now is via a call which cost, which is also very clever of the,! I just don't want to give them any more money even if it means not getting the fee back. What's everyone else's thoughts?

Calls to their 0371 number do not cost to ring (says so on their website) so might be worth having a go. I was just on hold for 45 mins before I got through.

Where does it state its free to ring using the 0371 number. Lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on Weekends. Calls to 0371 numbers are charged at the same rate as standard landline numbers that start with '01' or '02'. If your phone tariff offers inclusive calls to landlines, calls to 0371 numbers will also be included in the same way.

*UPDATE* I waited 52 minutes on hold and finally got through. Confirmed account said I had the refund but need the delivery fee back. He said he could see they owed my 5.99 and if it is to the same card, I said yes then he said okay that has gone through should be with you in 3-5 days. Why I had to call up and waster an hour of my own time I will never know but hopefully, if you just call them up and ask for it they will give it you back. Will confirm when this has arrived into my bank.

I'm in the same situation as everyone else but I have been refunded this morning after they took my money yesterday. I did notice though that they had taken my money on Wednesday when I bought it and then refunded me late that night but the transaction is no longer visible on my account - has anyone else had this?

Strongly suggest everyone call their bank and open a case in whatever way your bank does it (e.g a chargeback, a fraud case etc). Also please report Studio to trading standards - hopefully if they receive enough complaints this company will be investigated. My payment is still in “pending” but i just know they will take the money and i’ll have to wait 3-5 days to then receive the refund minus the delivery fee - honestly criminal 😫

They're posting fake reviews again. Do some digging, look into their other reviews and you'll see the companies overlap – also, the companies' responses are almost identical. Clearly Studio is connected to other retail businesses. I am so embarrassed I got myself into this mess. I have £10 in my account at the moment. Called Santander and they've hung up on me too. Sad

Rang Studio and they said it'd be 3-5 working days before I get refunded. This time they offered to refund the delivery fee because I think so many people have rung up and complained. Definitely worth ringing up though. Hopefully get the money back

Just another comment to reiterate what everyone else is saying... I called Studio up before placing my order because I thought it was too good to be true, they told me that the stock was available and to wait 10 days for delivery, but it was legit, so I ordered the Animal Crossing edition. Got an email just after 6pm saying that my order for a Red/Blue Switch was cancelled. Had the email this morning saying that my £0.00 order had been received, but the item is not available and won't be sent. I called Santander as the payment is still in my pending, they said they can't cancel it so I have to wait for the refund. If I don't get it in the timeline Studio states, I can call back up and Santander will open a dispute. Now on hold (28 minutes so far) to Studio to make sure I get the delivery fee refunded as well as the cost of the item, thanks for the heads up about that everyone.

Managed to get through on the phone and the guy said it is a "glitch" on their part that means refunds don't automatically include delivery charges, but he managed to fix it immediately for my order, so I do believe this was some way for them to make money off all of the people who'll take their refund and not notice the £5 missing. Quoted 3-5 working days for the refund to appear in my bank.

After to massive disappointment of the cancelled order from studio - have just ordered a phone contract from mobile phones direct that comes with a free switch. Anyone done this? £31 per month with £396 Cashback and free neon switch. So 10gb data works out at £2.83 per month. Going to switch one of kids over. Too good to be true?

They say the Switch will come 15 days after the phone and subject to availability. What if they turn around and say they're out of stock and then I am stuck with a 24 month phone contract?! Too risky for me, but hope it works out for you.

Hi, I stopped the tracking for Studio yesterday, so it will not show as 'In Stock' anymore and we won't list any more products. The only reason this listing is still live is so that this discussion page link is still available and everyone can keep in touch. Sorry this has caused so many issues. We won't be listing them again.
